What a Christmas!

Even though we spent G Dubb's first Christmas at home...it felt like we traveled around the world! John's family came into town to spend some much needed time with Graham and the family. His grandfather...aka "the baby snatcher" occupied most of G Dubb's time...basically doing everything possible except feeding him. They enjoyed their time together and I think Graham is currently going through a little withdrawl from Pops.
We spent Christmas eve with my mom and enjoyed our first church experience however, Graham and I only got to hear a little bit of the sermon before he got hugry. Christmas day was spent at our house with the Lintner family. We had a wonderful breakfast, then opened some gifts and topped it off with a delicious Christmas day meal. We sucessfully made it through an entire holiday season without having turkey! This year, John smoked a beef brisket, courtesy of Mac's Speed Shop. It turned out great and we had some wonderful sides to complement the brisket. We spent the next day at my dad's house just hanging out and exchanging gifts.

Graham had a wonderful Christmas with family. He met his Aunt Sarah for the first time as she flew home from Chile where she is learning to fluently speak the Spanish language. We are very thankful to have such a supportive family that shows nothing but love for G Dubb. Merry Christmas everyone!!

Two Months Old!

Today little G Dubb is two months old! He's growing into a little man! I can't believe it's been two months already. I was reminiscing yesterday about our trip to the hospital, what an amazing experience it has been to see little Graham grow. I can't wait for many, many more years to come. I love you Grahammy:)

Of course, Parker wants in on the action...God, I have a needy dog!

Swaddle me this...

With the help from my sister-in-law JoAnne and a little video entitled Happiest Baby on the Block, I was able to become a rather successful swaddler. One of my proud tactical accomplishments that made me feel like I was fit to be a mother. Graham was sleeping well at night, so well that I had to wake him up for each feeding.

Little did I know...this wouldn't last long as G Dubb put on the pounds and inches...he knocked my ego back down and broke free from the swaddle. So many of my friends claim how their little ones just LOVE being swaddled...well guess what...not Graham. And I don't blame him, I'm not sure that I would love the feeling of not being able to move my arms at my own will.
Still, I knew in my sick little competitive heart that I could make him LOVE the swaddle just like all of my friends kids so I decided to invest in a sweet little miracle....The Miracle Blanket.
So here's to the Miracle Blanket and a good night's sleep...we'll keep you posted on the progress!!

Slobber Sessions

Tummy time with Parker
As many of you know, our life before Graham was centered around our beloved dog Parker. He's our other son, born from another mother. Parker's taken to Graham pretty well. He's not too jealous but still very needy. Most of all he's craving some play time with Graham. Whenever Graham is down on Parker's level...that being the floor, Parker takes full advantage of licking Graham ALL over. Here's some evidence of our slobber sessions...

Graham likes a little lick from time to time...
Parker and Graham both LOVE the activity mat...I actually think Parker likes it more

One Month Old!!

11/22/11...YAY for being one month old!! Okay..this was obviously before Thanksgiving. See I'm already off to a bad start on this whole blog thing...can't even keep the posts in chronological order!!
Graham didn't like this photo shoot...

Welcome! and Happy Thanksgiving...

I've decided to TRY and start a blog, mainly for posting pictures of our little Grahamster so that family and friends that don't get to see him too often can check him out from time to time. So here we go....

We begin with our first holiday...Thanksgiving! This year we decided to brave it and go on our first road trip to the mountains in Sapphire Valley, North Carolina. It's only about 3 hours away...a manageable for a newborn. Graham did great! Made it the whole way without a breakdown. We had a wonderful weather, pretty warm for that time of year in the mountains. We spent time with our cousins, aunts, uncles, and of course Bogey and Marmee. We also decided to go the non-traditional route for the big feast by smoking a pork shoulder instead of the big bird. It was delicious, I think I'm sold on this turkey free holiday meal! Here are some pics of hanging out in the mountains. Enjoy!

And we can't leave out our precious Parker...our child from another mother.
